# Usage

## How to Track Your Usage on Krutrim Cloud

The Usage Metrics page shows how many credits you've used and where they went. Use it to keep an eye on your spending and plan ahead.

### Billing models

Krutrim Cloud offers two flexible billing models to fit how you work, from quick on-demand provisioning to long-term, enterprise-scale deployments. Whether you're an individual developer or a large organization, you get transparent pricing, cost efficiency, and the flexibility to choose what suits you.

| Customer type | How it works                                                                                           |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Prepaid**   | Pay as you go. Prices are already listed, and usage is deducted from the credits in your balance.      |
| **Postpaid**  | Better offers are available. To learn more, contact our support team at <cloudsupport@olakrutrim.com>. |

The Usage page looks slightly different depending on your billing model. This guide covers both.

### Billing cycle

* **Most services are billed hourly.** Usage is calculated hour by hour.
* **Some services use a monthly cycle.** WAF and Website Hosting are billed monthly, counted from the day you started the service. For example, if you started on **12 September**, your next cycle begins on **12 October**.

### Open the Usage page

Go to **Home → Administration → Cloud Billing → Usage**.

Use **View Docs** at the top right to open the documentation for this page.

### Tabs

Use the tabs below the page title to switch between views:

| Tab           | What it's for                                   |
| ------------- | ----------------------------------------------- |
| **Summary**   | Your total credits used, broken down by service |
| **AI Studio** | Your AI Studio usage                            |

### If you are a prepaid customer

**Choose a date range** Click the date selector at the top right. The page opens on a single day (today), so pick a wider range to see usage over a week, a month, or any period you like. All numbers and charts update to match your selection.

**Add Credits** Click **Add Credits** at the top right to top up your balance at any time.

**Remaining Balance** On the Summary tab, this shows the credits you have left. When the balance is healthy, it is marked **Available for use**.

**Balance Alerts** Click **Balance Alerts** to manage alerts about your balance, so you find out before your credits run low.

**Total Credits Used** The total credits used in the selected date range, with a bar chart showing how much went to each service. Longer bars mean more spending, so you can see at a glance where your credits are going.

### If you are a postpaid customer

**Choose a month** Use the month selector at the top right (for example, *September 2026*) to view usage for that month.

**Download CSV** Click **Download CSV** to download your usage data.

**Data refresh** Your usage data is refreshed every 24 hours. The page shows when it was last updated (for example, *Updated Sep 28, 2026 · Refresh every 24 hrs*), so recent usage may take up to a day to appear.

**Total Credits Used** The total credits used in the selected month, with a bar chart showing how much went to each service. Longer bars mean more spending.

### Tips

* **Check regularly:** review the Summary tab to spot where most of your credits are going.
* **Compare periods:** change the date range (prepaid) or month (postpaid) to see how your usage changes over time.
* **Stay ahead of low balance (prepaid):** use Balance Alerts, or set up **Auto Credits** so your services keep running.

### Quick FAQ

**Why does the page look different from what I expected?** The page depends on your billing model. Prepaid customers see their balance and an Add Credits button. Postpaid customers see a month selector and a CSV download.

**How often is usage billed?** Most services are billed hourly. WAF and Website Hosting are billed monthly, from the day you started them.

**When does my monthly cycle renew?** On the same day of the month you started. A service started on 12 September renews on 12 October.

**Why does something show ₹0.00?** It hasn't been used in the selected period.

**Why doesn't my latest usage show up yet? (postpaid)** Usage data is refreshed every 24 hours. Check the "Updated" note at the top of the page.

**How do I see usage for a different period?** Use the date range selector (prepaid) or month selector (postpaid) at the top right.

**How do I add more credits? (prepaid)** Click **Add Credits** at the top right of the page.
